Lovely Beach Hotel with a Wildlife Sanctuary

5.5The facility, with its moorish style, is beautifully situated directly on the beach. There are no ugly hotel buildings beside this hotel, as it is directly bordering a wildlife sanctuary. Kilometres of a wide sand beach. Splendid for walks on the beach.

Situated in the midst of a quiet and good residential area. 5 minutes after Rota (bus stop close to the hotel). There is a small Aunt-Emma-store approximately 2 minutes away (really has everything-- from shoe polish to champagne). The next supermarket is somewhat far by foot. Is best reached by bus. Good place of departure for excursions to Cadiz, Jerez, and Sevilla.
Rota, in my opinion, is not worth seeing. Ambitious place. Much is being built, although towards the inland.

The personnel was consistently friendly. However, if one wanted service at the poolside, you would have to wait a long time. The personnel in the dining-hall seems to be not very trained. For example, the dishes would be removed not very fast. Basically, there was always something missing: orange juice, big spoons, coffee, water, and so on. Not well organized!
Foreign language competence - specially in the reception: good.

In my opinion at the most is a middle-rate standard. For example, there was too little warm food. Big salad buffet, but with almost no seasoning. The food was very fatty. There is no alternative such as rice and/or patatoes. For vegetarians and food-known people it is not a special cuisine! Breakfast is okay, but nothing special.
Mealtime from 19:00 o'clock until late (at least for us). The food is strong to the stomach.
It could be solved if they created two mealtimes, at 18:00 and at 20:00 o'clock.
Sport & Entertainment
Not availableMade hardly any sport. But there is a tennis court. Possibility to do water sports directly in the beach.
Room
5.0We had a normal doubleroom level with view to the swimming pool. The rooms are tastefully arranged. The bathroom is big. There are enough deck chairs! The cleaning of the room is very exhaustive.
