Hotel
4.0

The hotel was already described. It is a neat hotel facility. January is the time of the year when most of the elderly travelers travel in Spain. We had sun and a beautiful weather. 60% of the guests were Germans and the rest were Spaniards. Pensioners from the club "Mundo Senior". A nice and harmonic mixture, but the Spaniards are the ones who make most of the noise as can be seen in the restaurant and the bar.

Location
4.0

The hotel is on the edge of the urbanization Roquetas de Mar, on a new and neat park. A bus stop is in front of the hotel, with connections to Aguadulce, Roquetas and Almeria. There are restaurants and shopping options in the surroundings of the hotel.

Service
4.5

The staff at the reception was very friendly and they spoke German very well. There is always a receptionist there who speaks German. I do not understand some of the critiques done about this! The staff in the dinning hall was very friendly and they spoke very good German. Tables were always clean and a new tablecloth was used every time. Even if one does not want to drink or eat, one is trated with friendliness.
The rooms and the appartments were daily cleaned. Towels were changed whenever one asked for and bedlinen was changed every two days. Towels for the beach chairs were provided at the reception free of charge. The safe deposit box costs $20 Euros per week, which is expensive, but it is always better to take some precautions. The only defect: A lot of smoking in the two bars!

Gastronomy
4.0

The food was tasty and well varied. It repeats itself every week, but one should not eat the entire buffet every week. There is live-cooking in every meal! Breakfast with sausage, cheese and eggs. Giant fruit variety: Every day grapes, oranges, apple, pears, pineapple. A good dessert variety is also offered: pudding, cream, cheese.

Sport & Entertainment
Unused

We did not use it.

Room
4.0

We had an appartment, which was very well furnished. We never cooked because we had VP in the hotel, but we could relish what our neighbor cooked. Dishes, stove, microwave and coffee mashine were available. The TV has 6 German channels available. The couch can also be used as bed.

Tips and recommendations

The weather in January was excellent: We had 20 days with temperatures over 20*C, always sunny. The rest was somewhat a mixture, but better than home: it rained two half days and one night. One could always have some entretainment there.

Hotel review marks: 6 suns = very good … 1 sun = unsatisfactory
