Hotel
5.0Huge facility, yet very well distributed, small houses, 2 pools, one indoor swimming pool, AI, house No25 very recommendable, perfect location with a view on the pool and the sea, either balcony or patio, two-floor houses.
Location
4.0A bit on the outskirts, there's however a good bus network with direction to Chiclana (approx. 10 km), directly over the dunes (steps and paths) to the sea. The transportation from Jerez airport takes approx. 45 minutes. Unfortunately, no shopping or entertainment possibilities directly close-by.
Service
6.0Reception, waiters, room service, animators ... all great!
Gastronomy
5.0
RIU AI ... offers all what the heart desires ... always in a buffet form.
But sure, at some point, things do repeat themselves ... even so, we were as always very satisfied with everything!
Sport & Entertainment
4.5Fitness und Wellness is found on the other side of the street and do not belong to the AI-offer. There's twice internet access, one disco, one indoor swimming pool, two outdoor swimming pools, a direct access to the beach through steps and paths, a mini-club and a mini-disco.
Room
5.5Top room! Always with a balcony or a patio, the mini bar is empty, the safe is provided with a deposit, TV, bathroom with bathtub, also clean and ok, yet the blow-dryer was a catastrophe! For long hair, bring one along by all means! The room was a bit clairaudient. An extra table and two armchairs available, another table and two chairs on the balcony. Air-conditioning and heating available. Cleanness and changing of towels daily!
Tips and recommendations
We were there mid-February and had initially calculated it would be around 16 degrees, which was not always the case - unfortunately! We had two days only rain. Our travel agent had said, that the weather's going crazy; in December it reached, at times, even 30 degrees ... Gibraltar is worth a trip, inexpensive shopping (perfumes, cigarettes,... - > bargains!) and the monkeys are sweet. From Tarifa with the ferry to Tanger.
And yeah, as the Spanish so often say it: they come on the weekend in actual flocks. But we found it great, while we were in the hotel, there were many couples and seniors, very agreeable guests and not so overflowed as it's usually described. Completely the opposite, if it weren't for the Spanish people, it would often get boring in the afternoons!!! That didn't bother us, we found it awesome!
