Hotel
4.0From the outside the hotel is not very nice, but it is one of the nicest hotels in Torremolinos. It is conformed of two buildings that are a bit old, but very acceptable. At the time we were traveling most of the guests were seniors from Holland and Great Britain, some Germans too. They were all very nice people. The facility is hadicapped friendly (lots of ramps, etc.) and very kids-friednly too, even though there was not a lot for kids when we were there!
Location
5.0
The hotel is separated from the beach by the garden. The beach is obscure and coarse, but there are showers on the beach!
Shopping and entretainment options are around the hotel. The centre of Torremolinos is 2km away. The transfer time from the airport is 30 minutes (lots of traffic on the highway). Ronda, Alhaurin del Grande, Marbella, etc. are very close and are worth going.
Service
6.0Simply fantastic: No matter where. The room service and check-in were very good. Some second lenguages are spoken. The service at dinner was always good, they care about the guests and ask what can they do to be better--Awsome!!
Gastronomy
5.0The food was delicious, from appetizers to desserts. The sausage at breakfast does not taste like in Germany, but that I know from the moment I leave Germany. The kitchen is international with an English touch. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very comfortable. One can eat at the pool's terrace very good and unexspensive. The drikns' prices in the restaurant are adequate.
Sport & Entertainment
4.0Apart from the pool (which is heated) and the Internet, we did not use anything. There are some acting shows. There is an animation program and night shows too.
Room
4.0Super big and clean. The furniture is a bit old but everything works perfectly: air-conditioner, shower, WC, balkony, mini bar, safe deposit box. Everything is there. No noise. Towels were daily changed and bedlinen every four days. Some mildew in the washroom, but it was minimal.
Tips and recommendations
All together, it is a nice house with an excellent service. The price ratio is good. It is worth making a trip to Ronde, Gibraltar and Granada. The best beach is on the Atlantic side which is 2 hours away from the hotel, but it is worth making a day plan to go there (one can enjoy the waves, surf and the sand is very nice too). The tariff is in between Africa and Europe.
