The hotel building is easy to navigate, and the complex and building very well-kept. It is no longer the newest hotel, but still livable. The furnishings are in good condition, I particularly like them. All inclusive was really all inclusive, from the drinks to the beachbeds. International guests (in particular Germans and Americans).

Directly on the palm beach, shopping possibilities in the Caribbean street between the RIU-Hotels, but they tend to be expensive. At the tour operator (also in the street) you can book very nice excursions, which are also affordable (I was in Santo Domingo myself - a MUST, but you should also go to Samana and the rest of the island). A tip for adventurers: take the bus to Higuey (bus stop approx. 10 minutes by foot in front of the resort) - very, very cheap and there are really only natives on the bus. Eventually, more natives get on the bus, who can then drive you through Higuey for a few US-Dollars.

The rooms are checked twice a day for cleanliness, and in the evening the bed is even opened up - Knowledge of foreign languages very good (not really German, but English). Check- in was without difficulties, and questions are answered in a satisfactory manner. It is possible to exchange money at the reception. Doctor in the Caribbean street, but he also comes to the rooms if you need him. There is always a print-out at the reception with the weather situation with a satellite image. All staff members are very obliging, friendly and always quick with a joke.

Gastronomy

Excellent food in terms of quality and variety. It is always decorated nicely. Since you may also eat in the other hotels, there are a lot of possibilities. The drinks are excellent. If the electricity goes out (happens frequently, in my view a Caribbean holiday wouldn't be the same without this happening), the chefs quickly come up with something, so that you don't go hungry.

Sport & Entertainment

Pool very well-kept, evening entertainment is very amusing. Sport possibilities with an instructor are limited, because it is more or less a hotel for those seeking peace and quiet, but in my view perfectly fine and thank God without the hoopla all day long. At the beach they play Merengue music all day long at a pleasant volume, which gives you a real holiday feeling!

Very nice rooms, nice furnishings, and they are cleaned everyday as already mentioned. The balcony is rather large with a wonderful view. Balcony door with a fly screen, but an insect spray is still recommended. Air conditioning works very well.
