Hotel review for Hotel RIU Palace Tenerife

Hotel

The hotel satisfied our expectations and lives up to what RIU promises. The guests' average age is 50 plus and is predominantly divided into German and British guests. The hotel was not totally booked up. That had the advantage that you could get a lounge chair in the pool at any time. If you look for a play ground for the children, you should travel in another travel season. There were few children in the hotel.

Location

There is a small sand beach nearby the hotel and it is ideal for swimming, also in February. One could use the lounge and umbrellas in the swimming pool. The shopping and entertainment facilities around the hotel are a little limited.

Service

The personnel was super friendly. At the restaurant and at the reception they spoke German. the extra wishes were promptly satisfied.

Gastronomy

The taste and the optic impression of the buffet were excellent. Of course there is no romantic atmosphere in a big restaurant with a lot of people. The waiters can anticipate the guests' every wish and compensate therefore the situation, so one feels totally satisfied.

Sport & Entertainment

In our travel season the evening entertainment consisted only on life music.

Room

The room was elegant and practically equipped. It would be properly cleaned everyday. The described poorly sound proof of the room unfortunately also affected our holiday time. The intensity of the noise exposure surely depends on the neighbours. We had the bad luck, in the second half of our holiday week, to have a newly married couple above our room, who therefore acted very loudly.

Tips and recommendations

It is a pity that the room walls are so thin. If we had stayed longer, we would have asked for another room. Aside from that, we had a nice and sunny vacation.
