Hotel
3.5The hotel building is a bit old - concrete block breaking apart a bit in some places. The apartment building is considerably nicer. Everything is clean and orderly. Mixed nationalities: German, French, Dutch, Spanish, English.
Location
5.5The location of the hotel is wonderful - right on and partially in the dunes so it's only a few step to the sea. It takes about 40 minutes to arrive from the airport. The neighboring hotel Tres Islas is relatively close. It takes about 50 minutes to walk the beach in the city. However there's also a bus stop on the street.
Service
3.5The staff is very friendly and energetic - in any case a bit sparse in the restaurant. At the reception almost everyone speaks German well. Nevertheless the check-in took about one hour for us. Room-cleaning was totally ok.
Gastronomy
3.5There are 2 normal restaurants (one in the main building and another in the apartment building) as well as 2 theme-restaurants (Spanish cuisine and Asian cuisine). The food was delicious and varied - I can't really agree with other commenters that the food was bad or rotten. Our restaurant was mostly loud on account of the many families with children staying in the hotel. The dishes and cutlery have seen their better days and don't look so great any more. The table cloths weren't always changed and therefore sometimes bore a few spots and such.
Sport & Entertainment
3.5There are many activity organizers and therefore there is plenty to do (water gymnastics, darts, football, etc.). The activity directors are nevertheless very relaxed. The water in the sea was still cold in this season. The pool was pleasantly heated. The pool area in the apartment area is nicer than the one in the main building, but nevertheless considerably louder because there were more children there. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas, but already in the morning the chairs were reserved for the afternoon.
Room
3.0The rooms were large and clean. The furniture is in okay condition. The beds weren't so great - very soft, and attempts to get close to a partner are hopeless since the beds roll apart. There were many German channels (ARD, ZDF, RTL, SAT 1 und Pro7). Everything was clean and orderly and natural - actually as always - a bit loud.
Tips and recommendations
This hotel is recommendable for families with children, owing to the mini-club and child care. The neighboring hotel Tres Islas seemed to be more exclusive just by appearance, but it's also more expensive.
