Hotel
5.5Well-kept location with some blemishes. Some years ago it was the number 1, but unfortunately it is just the past. There had to be begun with some repairment works in many parts.
Location
5.0The place of the hotel right on the beach, very good.
Service
5.5The service in all parts of the location was really good.
Gastronomy
5.5We were satisfied with the food and the drinks. The service was very friendly and courteous, there one gave tips with great pleasure.
Sport & Entertainment
4.5We have not used the sportsprogram. Beach is very nice, the quality of water is good. The plastic lying chairs are partially broken. There are no requirements, especially the pillow pad! A joke for a 5 star hotel, big minus!!The locations in the neighborhood have these equipments!!! We have never experienced something like that.
Room
6.0Nice, large rooms, kindly equipped, kingsize beds, everything very clean, roomservice very good. Bathroom with separated shower and bath tub is very pleasant, laid out pretty good.
Tips and recommendations
In overall we were satisfied with this hotel. What we absolutely didnt like, was as a matter of fact, that all water landscapes, for example in front of the main restaurant, the specialties restaurants and the part close to the children spot, were without water. That hat looked very ugly. Therein was always something scrubbed, but not so that something had moved itself. All the persons, who was asked, why they were in such condition, gave different answers. After approx. 10 days, there was finally water filled in the part in front of the main restaurant. The other water parts remained as construction spots. Another construction spot was by beachrestaurant, as the timbers of the palm roofs were new made and the knocking was carried out during the afternoon meal. Finally, the construction was covered with palmflutters, which was not ready till the end of our 2 week holiday!! What was disturbing us a lot during the evening meal was partially the neglectful clothing of the guests. It was mentioned in TUI-travel catalogue, that it would have been desirable, when in the evenings the men had an elegant suits. It was possible to read at the restaurant entrance that also the Bermudas would have been acceptable, but no striped shirts and closed shoes. As a matter of fact, many men came with these pants, and additionally in flip-flops. It was really not a nice view, but it was not controlled, either. In other locations, for example "Magic Life", where one doesnt come is such a manner to the restaurant.
Another minuspoint are the plastic lying chairs, which one has to use WITHOUT equipments or pillow pads. We have never experienced something like and that in a 5-star hotel (check out the hotel entrance). While walking on the beach, one could see such things, well it is not impossible to get such equipments in Cuba either, right at the moment there is a new location being built up near the beachrestaurants. The flattened works were partially carried out by the hour, through that there was kind of noise disturbance only partially on the beach.
