Winterruhe am Strand
Wir haben das um eine sehr gepflegte Atmosphäre bemühte Hotel in einer absolut atypischen Zeit außerhalb jeder Saison erlebt - eine handvoll Gäste und Personal verlor sich ein wenig im großen Haus. Statt des erwarteten Büfetts gab es ein sehr ordentliches Abendessen mit Bedienung a la carte im Barbereich, durch spanische Wände etwas abgeschirmt. Entsprechend "einsam" war es auch im Ort, wo vieles geschlossen war, und am weitläufigen gepflegten Strand. Für uns war das ideal. Einen Vorgeschmack auf die Verhältnisse in der Saison gab es am Wochenende, als hunderte spanischer Wochenend-Ausflügler eintrafen.
Für Städtetouren (insbesondere nach Cadiz und den ganzen Süden), die sehr zu empfehlen sind, muss man wissen, dass man, bedingt durch die Lage von Ort und Hotel, längere Fahrten um das Donana-Gebiet einplanen muss. Ein Besuch der Donana selbst (Anmeldung am Besucherzentrum Acebuche) war übrigens ein absolutes Highlight für uns.
