Hotel
5.0Facility with a great architecture, large salt-water pools, from the facility straight to the beach there's a considerable part of different levels, which would make a pregnant woman lose her breath (but there are also elevators everywhere)
Location
6.0The location is perfect, brilliant view from the salt-water pool and the sunset in Gomera seen from the room. Short taxi-transportation from the airport (approx. 20-25min, 18-20€). Shopping possibilities reachable on foot.
Service
5.0Quick check-in. A damage in the safe would be repaired very quick (approx. 30min). Questions were quickly answered, well sorted newspapers (trade journal, Frankfurter Allgemeine, Süddeutsche, Rheinische) with one day delay (on Tuesday, Monday's issue etc.). Very obliging service in the restaurant, with remaining time for small talk as well.
Gastronomy
5.5
Very varied buffet, breakfast with lots of fruit and yummy coco yoghourt (very recommendable) and also non-white bread.
In the evenings, always at least 2 types of fish, a big salad bar, tasty desserts, the soups were kind of weak in taste.
Sport & Entertainment
5.0
Four pools (one heated with sweet-water, two salt-water pools directly next to each other) and two small baby-pools, enough seating, hand towels obtained with a hand towel card, polite, friendly service at the pool.
Water-gymnastics daily in the heated pool, apart from that, nothing really appealing (shuffle, ball, bingo, etc.).
The shows in the evening could've been better, but that's definitely a matter of taste.
The hair-dresser in the hotel is absolutely recommendable, albeit the German prises.
Room
5.0
The rooms are big enough, albeit not luxurious, shower only in the tub, the toilet’s in the bathroom, that's why it also has a bidet.
SAT TV (Phoenix, 3sat, Pro7, Sat1, RTL, ARD, ZDF, ZDFdoku, CNN, etc.)
Balcony with a brilliant sunset. The rooms are divided in separate houses (A, C, E see the sunset from the balcony on the west side). B would have been too close to the road for us.
Tips and recommendations
Vodafone-ES GSM and UMTS coverage. UMTS data rates rather low (possibly, no HSDPA yet)
Hotel review marks: 6 suns = very good … 1 sun = unsatisfactory
