The location of the hotel is perfect for a good night's rest. You won't be disturbed by any vehicle traffic. There is ample free parking at the hotel, and to best manage your alpine experience, a rental car is probably in order if arriving by airplane. The hotel does offer an airport pick up service for a fee. The nearest public bus stop appeared to be approximately 1/2 mile away. There is a train station just a few miles away in Berchtesgaden that seemed to be well serviced by Taxis. Gorgeous alpine mountain views from the entire hotel. I believe every room at this hotel views a beautiful natural setting.

This hotel offers every service that someone on a vacation could need or want. There are no public clothes washing facilities at the property - but they do provide a bag in every room if you do happen to need them to launder some article of your clothing. They are available to arrange child care if you have the desire. Upon check in, you are provided with a well stocked folder with maps and other tourist activities in the area. Every morning at your breakfast table they provide you with a suggested hike or tourist attraction in the area. The staff is more than willing to make sure every single wish is satisfied. This includes bringing your morning beverage of choice and asking again later if their is something else you may also like - they are present and visible and happy to help.

The quality of the food is gourmet. The wine list is extensive and well chosen. The tables are gorgeously set. The evening meal is included in the room rate - all 4 courses!

The wellness facilities are state of the art and well maintained. Pricey Internet connection available for your laptop, but they do offer a terminal in the lobby free of charge. The indoor pool is warm and clean and the outdoor pool is an all season heated pool with an absolutely stunning mountain panorama. Plenty of indoor entertainment with fitness center, ping pong, fussball and pool tables, indoor children's play room and outdoor playground.

Everything is kept spotlessly clean. Maid service is well above average. Stocked mini bar is reasonably priced. One English television channel - CNN - but that is enough on a wellness holiday! The hotel is very quiet and one can obtain a peaceful night's rest every single night.

Best time to go is anytime! We stayed over Easter and my 6 year old son was so thrilled that the Easter Bunny visited and decorated every table with fine chocolates and a special large chocolate Easter bunny for him.
