Motel with a lot history *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Apache Motel is a motel in the very old style - very stylish in the 50 's and 60 's stood still, since the have been renovated and maintained. Then, it is said, John Wayne, John Ford, Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn, Dorothy Malone and Ivonne de Carlo here on your Western-Drehs 24 -Moab - there is even the John-Wayne area, we didn't see, but still in the original state.
Location
The Apache Motel is on the outskirts of the small town Moab, where various highlights can easily be reached. Besuchsziel number 1 probably the Arches National Park with its impressive stone arches. But also Canyonlands National Park is just a stone's throw away - and we found by far more Impressive than the Grand Canyon! There is also various recreational opportunities, including Floßfahrten on the Colorado River, but we didn't.
The lady at the entrance has the impression as John Wayne personally known. The I asked what you a little dismayed replied that have been 6 years as it when their parents in Salt Lake City stayed in.: -)

Sport & Entertainment
The pool is rather simple and was ... Very cold. More than my foot there has been managed not fit.: -)
Room
The rooms very pleasantly surprised - large, spacious, and in motelüblichem standard. We stayed here because of the age of the hotel with considerably less expected.
Tips and recommendations
In the national parks are regularly guided tours and the Rangers. In Canyonlands National Park, we have a guided tour around the Botanik got - the it is absolutely worth it! It is always that only the really can see what you know, and if a competent companion the different plants and their interactions explained in these inhospitable area can see whack of!
