Komfort auf der Familieninsel Borkum *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAls Mehrfach-Borkumreisende war ich es bisher gewohnt, mit meiner Familie auf der Insel, auch wegen der unterschiedlichen Witterungsverhältnisse, eine Ferienwohnung zu mieten. Dieses Mal nahm ich mir frei von der Familie und ließ mich das erste Mal auf Borkum in einem Hotel verwöhnen. Es war wunderbar! Als Vielreisende konnte ich feststellen, dass das Hotel Kachelot alles das bietet, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Zimmer und Badezimmer waren ausreichend groß, kleine Diele mit integriertem Kleiderschrank und kostenlosem Safe; durch die Diele, und somit zwei Türen, hörte man keine Geräusche vom Flur. Am Bad ist mir besonders positiv aufgefallen, dass es dort mehr als ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten und Haken gab, was ich oftmals sogar in Fünfsternehotels nicht in dieser Form vorfand! Mein besonderes Lob.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Sonntags gab es sogar Sekt. Am Abend (ich hatte HP) gab es ein 3-Gänge-Menue und vorher noch eine Kleinigkeit als Gruß vom Koch. Nette Geste. Die Hauptgerichte waren (fast) immer gut; Vor- und Nachspeisen sagten mir nicht zu; insbesondere die Suppen fand ich wirklich nicht gut. Bitte ändern. Ich konnte aber damit leben.
Der Hoteldirektor begrüßte jeden Abend persönlich die Gäste und verweilte an den Tischen oftmals zu einem kurzen, humorvollem Plausch. Sehr lobenswert. Grundsätzlich war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Vielleicht komme ich ja als Single nochmals ins Kachelot.
Dieses nette Hotel kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen!
