The hotel belongs to bigger area. When it is fully booked, there are more than 700 people. There are studios or apartments. The studios are in the main building, the apartments in the large area. It was possible to book all inclusive. The hotel and the grounds are very well maintained. The rooms got daily thoroughly cleaned. There was a large dining room, where all the means were served, with about 300 chairs. So at happy hour, you might have to wait for a table. Because of the size of the dining room, you get the feeling of being in a huge cafeteria, and we didn't like the noise level. The pool area is nice, but way too small for this large number of people. There were also not enough pool chairs available. We never managed to get a pool chair even once in 14 days, as we didn't want to reserve pool chairs at 7 am in the morning. Accoriding to the notice the hotel managment didn't allow that. 95 % of the guests were English families with 2 children on average. In addition, there were a few Germans, Spanish or Dutch guests. The hotel was totally aimed at English tourists, both what the selection of food and the entertainment were concerned. The hotel was nice, but we as couple we didn't feel so well, as the many children were very noisy (when we were there, there were about 300 children!). So if you are looking for a quiet holiday, this is not the place for you.

The hotel is located on the main road passing through the town Cala Bosch. It was a 10 minute walk to get to the beach, which was easily managable. But the next larger town, Cituadella, was about 10 km away and you could easily reach it by public bus. The bus stop was directly across from the hotel. The bus tickets were cheaper than in Germany. Right across the street from the hotel there were two supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies and several souvenir shops. There were also a few restaurants and bars. The transfer to the airport took about 75 - 90 minutes.
Right behind this shopping center there is a very nice yacht harbor and it is really worth taking a walk there. The yacht harbor is completely surrounded by restaurants in all directions, many of them aimed at English tourists. In town you can rent various boat tours. Excursion possibilities in Menorca are rather limited and didn't meet our expectations. Car rentalswere very expensive. They charged 60 € /day for the smallest car, but we didn't agree with that, as we found that ridiculously expensive.

Service

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Their knowledge of foreign languages was limited to English - only a few spoke German, the maitre d' and at the reception.
The cleaning of the rooms was very good.
They took care of a complaint about a broken bulb within a few minutes - examplary.
The staff tried hard to do a good job.

Gastronomy

There was a restaurant, but it rather looks like a huge cafeteria.
In additon there was a snackbar by the pool, where drinks and snacks were served during the day. There was also a bar, which was open in the evening. But it was too small for the number of guests. If you went to dinner later, you didn't get a table afterwards in the bar. The bar wasn't cozy at all, as it was just too big with about 400 seats, but with that number of guests it was still too small.
The quality and quantity of the food and drinks was very good. All the meals were mostly aimed at English guests and they served for example white beans in tomato sauce for breakfast. There was a very large selection of dishes, but dishes typical for the country were rather rare. If you don't like English cuisine, there isn't much too choose from. If you like to check out different food, you can eat very varyingly.
The cleanliness and the hygiene in this area was perfect on part of the staff everywhere, unfortunately, some guests ruin this impression.
Because of the size and the noise level you feel like being in a huge cafeteria. You could tip the waiters afterwards anonymously, but you didn't have to.

Sport & Entertainment

The whole entertainment program for kids and grown-ups was in English. All the activities were totally organized and they were daily repeated. There were no shopping possibilities in the hotel. There are 3 internet spots, but they are very expensive (15 minutes. - €1 )
The pool is too small for so many guests. There are not enough pool chairs and umbrellas, as there is not enough space. There are two showers right by the pool. Everything was very clean.
There was also a tennis court, table tennis tables, a billiard table and a small play room for kids. But everything was quite expensive, if you wanted to rent a table tennis racket (4€/hour). You could rent bikes (10€/day) and rent small cars (62 €/day).
The beach is small but nice. Beautiful clean sandy beach with life guards. At the beach there was the possibility to rent pedal boats. You could also rent pool chairs and umbreallas for 5€/day each.

Room

We had a studio with a living room and bedroom. The room was well maintained and equipped with a kitchen. The kitchen was appropriately furnished, there wasn't a coffee machine, but a kettle and a frigde. You could rent a safe for a fee. Telephone was also available.
Air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was very well maintained, equipped with a hairdryer and an extravagant shower. Towels got daily changed. Our room was facing the main road, but with closed patio door you didn't really notice that. When the door was open, you could hear trucks, cars and buses, but it wasn't so bad. The terrace was spacious and adecuately furnished with two stairs and a table. Besides that there was a small integrated clothes horse.

Tips and recommendations

We think that the hotel is not recommendable for German tourists because it is very much aimed at English tourists. German kids couldn't take part in the entertainment, if the didn't speak English. For couples without children there are surely nicer areas, which aren't as noisy and full of crying children. In our opinion the leisure and excursion possiblities in Menorca were pretty limited and thus we wouldn't go on holiday to the island again.
The price-performance ratio for a hotel like this was okay. The weather was very hot in June, but also pleasant beacause of the wind.
