An excellent stay in Brunnen
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe reveled in staying at Hotel Alpina in Brunnen Switzerland! The apartment style of the home suited our needs perfectly as we had two small children with us. Having a separate room to put the children to bed was wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for ourselves and the home was exceptionally clean. A cleaning service was included and came 2x/week. Our host was wonderful and helped us with any questions we had making our stay very easy!
Location
Brunnen is a wonderful area of Switzerland. The local tourist information office was a wonderful source of information and only a 6 minute walk away. The beach and the lake were a 4 minute walk away and the bus station was only 1 minute from the hotel door. The train station was easily accessed by bus, or by an easy walk, the grocery stores were also very close and getting fresh bread in the morning was made easy with it's close access. The boat dock was wonderful and we enjoyed several boat trips on the famous Vierwaldstättersee.
Our host was so generous and kind. He made filling out all the requisite paperwork and agreement before our arrival very easy. He was completely understanding with our needs as we had 2 small children and was wonderful with them also - our oldest thoroughly enjoyed the little treats left at the entrance door every day! Laundry facilities were easy to access and included, and room cleaning occurred 2x/week while we were there. What a service!

As frequent travellers, it was exactly what we were looking for. Even a balcony where we could take our morning breakfast!
Tips and recommendations
Summer in Brunnen is a wonderful time to travel. The ease with which one can move around is facilitated by the world renown Swiss rail and bus systems. Having a cell phone with the SBB app is helpful as you can then plan your excursions on the go. The apartment was one we always enjoyed coming back to at the end of the day! Thank you so very much!
