Dirty, bad place to stay *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe first impression was actually more pleasant. Nice holiday homes are included in this Ferienpark together. But unfortunately the changed with entering our apartment/condo in one of the large Main buildings (architecture 80s). Already at the entrance blew us a unpleasant smell. The kitchenette was located just behind the front door. In the opinion of the rooms we quickly found out that there was only superficially cleaned. The furniture looked very old and worn (decor reminded also here that there are 70 /80s). At night you saw the spiderwebs in the ceiling in the light of the reading lamp. Here was not been cleaned in a long time. As we stayed directly under the roof, fell generally during the day too little light in the room. The fan was not very ideal. Under the bed with curtain you hardly got air (at night the outside temperature was about 10 -15°C). The beds were only from 2 layer stacked mattresses. The dishes we also backup been cleaned again, as was the bathroom. The next day we reported faults in the front desk. It was also immediately reacted (plus service) and the cleaning staff through hunted. It was ok, but we seem to have different expectations of cleanliness. The curtain that by we guessed the smell was not replaced and sprayed only. The bad smell was bearable, but not really gone. The condo would also be very clean condition still uncomfortable and carelessly equipped, certainly not have been friendly family rooms.
Location
The Ferienpark advertise free for a private beach. Unfortunately we were not find. There was a slight sandy bay next to the fishing harbor. Then showed the sign for "beach". The Ferienpark but had a good indoor playground and now and then a nice children's program. Apart from the ferienparkeigenen supermarket there's not a lot of shopping possibilities. Unfortunately we discovered the supermarket in the next town (about a 5 -7 minutes away by car, just a few days later. It was a very nice farm in the door, with a delicious cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables. The best part was the excursion possibilities in the surrounding area. Special praise the 24.9 would be here from Renesse. Great, the free parking and free transfer with the bus to the individual beach sections.
The staff was very friendly, spoke German and Reworked the complaints immediately. Why it after cleaning the room was dirty, still remains a puzzle. Probably the cleanliness for Dutch not so much role as for German. I would call us now still not very much germafobes.
Gastronomy
Also in the restaurants was lacking in cleanliness. The tables were only cleaned after a request, although it was obviously dirty. The quality of the food was good, but the rates more than overpriced. The monopoly full advantage of the ferienparkeigenen restaurants. The next clean and cozy restaurants were by car in about 30 minutes.
Sport & Entertainment
The amenities were enough for us. For children was a little entertainment offered. The indoor pool we could Limited not much testing.
Room
See finishes at the beginning of the rating: - old, tired furniture - rugged residential ambience - dirty rooms (especially in the corners and at the ceiling with cobwebs) - adequate kitchen facilities (except for lack of blades)
Tips and recommendations
We dont know how it in the obviously more modern vacation homes of the park is like but we got the condo is not recommended. The price/performance ratio was unfortunately not.
