Wonderfully located - California pure relaxation! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ASpacious, clean and reasonably modern rooms, t. W. with a kitchenette (3 floors), friendly staff, coffee/bagel to go can be bought in reception area, there were lots of international guests (many Americans).
Location
You bet! Right on the long and fine sandy beach (t. W. sideways sea/pool view - if you can afford the talers, a direct "oceanview" recommended). Bars, restaurants, boutiques, bicycle rental, Liquorstore surf schools, etc. In the immediate vicinity on the beach promenade. About 15 minutes by car. In the city (easily +45 minutes. In the rush hour! ), Seaworld / San Diego Zoo also about 20 minutes. By bike about 12 min to the entertainment area (roller coaster, etc. ) On the beach.
No complaints at all, everyone was very friendly. Internet service for free (reception).
Gastronomy not available
Many restaurants/bars in the area on the beach promenade, tasty was "Tony Romas" (steaks, fish, u. A. , about 3 minutes. By foot).
Sport & Entertainment
Pool with a couple of lounge chairs/towels and hot tub/shower with sea view (9 AM - 22.00h ), promenade for cycling, skating, walking, jogging, but especially the wonderful Pacific Ocean, on which the surfers already wait at sunrise on the waves. Internet for free in the rooms and front desk.
Room
Spacious, with balcony, fridge, t. W. kitchenette, coffee maker, air conditioning (not so great! ) TV, clean, either 2 queen beds or 1 king size bed, optional side or direct sea view, fairly modern and always after Teppichshampoo scented.
Tips and recommendations
If you direct ocean view (and the sunset in the sea) treat yourself you should have gone to a room on the 3rd Floor questions - larger balcony and no noises from above. With the Californiabike (for 7 , - $per hour) turn left down the promenade to the entertainment area is well worth it. In October we could swim in the Pacific. Quiet ocean views while relaxing - and charges you can see the dolphins swimming. Seaworld and the Zoo are a must. At "Tony Romas" provided, among other things, a delicious spare ribs.
