BEST WESTERN Hotel Merry Manor Inn

The hotel is situated on a main road, but far from the city center Portlands away. Shopping possibilities in the surrounding area. In the surroundings there are many lighthouses to visit. Also a visit to Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and York worth it. The cottage is in Kennebunkport of George W. Bush, but not can be visited.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The a-u . Check out was a breeze. The room in comparison was clean, but in the bathroom were traces of previous guests (hair in the shower and on the floor, marks in the toilet). The front desk staff was not kept up and running in dingy T-shirts rum.

Directly at the hotel there were the Governor's restaurant, in which you typically American and reasonably priced food. The quality was not very good at all and the portions were huge. Direct access from the hotel. The hotel also in an adjacent room breakfast.

An indoor pool is available, as well as a free Internet access in the lobby. The necessary password is easy at the front desk.

The room was big enough and was with coffee maker, iron, and ironing board, TV, microwave, refrigerator, telephone and air conditioning. The bathroom was divided in a laundry room (approx. 2x1 m) and the shower/WC (approx. 2x2 meters) and equipped with a hair dryer. As already mentioned the bathroom was dirty and the room was worn. Also here a musty smell coming from the air conditioning. Also the room was very clairaudient.

Maybe it was only for us the booked room type. From our point of view but we recommend this hotel, if any, max for 1 night. A renovation would be needed.
