Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Bärenhotel was a family-run hotel in which tradidtions still played a big part. The rooms were very clean and comfortably furnished.
The breakfast buffet was rich with natural products from the local agriculture. The 5 course menu promised the right thing for every taste. Every day, there was a huge choice at the salad buffet.
Particularly appealing for me was the daily changing decoration at the table, always matching the motto of the evening. There for example was a Tyrolean evening, an Italian evening, a candle light dinner etc.
Location
The hotel was located at the bottom of the Kronplatz with fantastically beautiful view to the Dolomites or the valley.
You could drive directly from the ski basement to the piste.
All the employees of the hotel, from the maid to the boss were very friendly. You felt like home already on arrival in the hotel.
Wishes and preferences were taken into consideration.
The hotel offered a shuttle bus to the elevator and back, this drove to specific times but also after a short request on the phone.
Gastronomy
The restaurant consisted of several rooms. A highlight here was the Zirbenstube.
Also the bar invited you to a comfortable get-together with other guests.
They put much importance to cleanliness and hygiene in this hotel.
When we saw the buffet and the prepared dishes, you also ate with your eyes.
Sport & Entertainment
Another highlight of the hotel was the spa area. There were several saunas, a whirlpool in the outdoor area and a chlorine-free indoor pool. A view from the panoramic bath to the valley invited to dream.
Once a week, the manager of the hotel invited to a cottage evening after the dinner. It started with a romantic latern hike. In the cottage, an atmospheric evening was then spent with music and wine.
Room
Nicely decorated, comfortable rooms with spacious bathrooms. Cleanliness was naturalness here too.
