Beach Hotel Sharjah

Directly on the beach. Free shuttle buses operated frequently from the hotel to Dubai, which was reachable in 15 minutes. Sharjah was also reachable by taxi in five minutes, and it cost 1,50 €. Once you exited the hotel from the right side, there was a supermarket on the left side where one could buy everything. With a phone card, one was able to place cheap calls everywhere in Germany. In the evenings, it cost us 1€ for 12 min of conversation.

In the afternoons, we always had room service. For example, it included a sandwich with a salad and fries for 5€. That was enough food for two people. The room boy was very nice. In exchange for a small tip, all our wishes, be it on the beach or in our room, were attended to.

The food in the evening was not very good. I have already seen much better in Dubai. It was never warm, not even directly after the restaurant had opened at 7p.m. I would give a five-star rating for the room service and the pool bar food.

It was possible to rent a jet ski on the beach that cost 20 € for 20 minutes, which was affordable. In the neighboring hotel Lou Lou, one was able to do kite surfing, but we did not try it out. The pool was well-maintained and also on the beach.

The rooms were freshly painted at the time, but also fully equipped with an excellent air conditioning, which was not loud. All the rooms, from the first floor up, included a sea and a pool view.

As I had already been in Dubai on several occasions, I would consider the months of December-May as the best time to travel. This time around, the temperatures were over 40 degrees centigrade, with a very high humidity. It felt a bit like a camping place, as the stuff in the room was constantly moist, and with the sea temperature of 33 degrees, it was difficult to cool down in the sea.
