Nothing really good *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel depicting heroic workers loom over shoppers 5 stars. Just to fulfill their way, this Standard, but not. This is why we arises from the following categories.
Location
The hotel is set in a bungalow/apartment-most generic. As such, it is actually very quiet. front of the hotel there is a only moderately frequented street. To the sea you need is about a 10 minute walk. Therefore Meerfernblick actually means in this hotel had an ocean view. We had a room to the land side. This was ok, particularly because you on the balcony in the sun set across Rome's sunshine. In the immediate vicinity there is a mini-supermarket.
Check-in was perfect. You directly took our bags, we were given a friendly welcome and taken. They showed us the most important places of the hotels and escorted to our room. But you should speak English, otherwise you didn't get far. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the beach and Albufeira, but unfortunately we never used it. In addition is located in front of the hotel a station of the public transport services. It is advisable to rent a car. In a case I had to a very clear complaint Espanol. The problem has been fixed, we were served as an apology and a fruit basket and pastries. Very nice, but we would be it would have liked the rooms would tidy and not in the hustle-fast-procedures cleaned. More about that later. The hotel offers a babysitting service.
Gastronomy
It will now be several times "strange". First "strange": We had only booked the hotel with breakfast. Half board would have at bookeda special offer 420 Euro per person for the 14 days to get. The hotel will give you a note however when there handed that you have dinner (half board) also individually locality per day. acquires you more than 7 dinner then this cost 23 euros per person and day. 14 X 23 Euro 322 Euro. The tour operator pointless not so if you want to pay 100 euro, bay the half board cheaper on site. Second "strange": We belive because of the small number of guests no buffet for dinner was offered. You could merely between three different 3 course menus. The menus sounded always high quality and great, but good as never have been a guest at the hotel restaurant, we ate out every night at a different restaurant. I could do that for Portugal definitely recommend them too. Tip - Visit the restaurant at the Arrife-beach, the Solar the Oliveiras or the O Marinerho. All restaurant are more bearable in proximity to the hotel - and by car, the didn't have any problem. The last "strange" are the prices in the hotel. The most expensive coffee in our holiday we drank in our hotel: 3 euros. Not even at the Nobel-harbor on Villamoura(we had to pay so much for a coffee. It also offputting so that most guests, your drinks bought in the supermarket.
Sport & Entertainment
The hotel was supposed to be one of the pool boys. also strolls around the morning also around the pool. The beach chairs just returned, highlights the tables to navigate. really bothered us the glass, however the he has DUMPED not for a week. The hotel has its own tennis court, a putting green, an indoor pool and a so called Relaxcenter with indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Except for treatments such as massage is the use of Relaxcenters free. There was also a room with fitness equipment. However, the room was small and the number of the equipment offered very low; for more than 3 end users. Otherwise everything- owing should cost money: billiards cost 7 euros per hour. 30 Minutes internet cost 5 Euros, an hour WWW cost 7 euros and a WL-Tageszugang cost 20 Euro per day. Two beach chairs and an umbrella at the beach cost 12 Euro per day. If the child care has a cost, we don't know.
Room
Our room was absolutely in order. Everything very modern decor. Our room had a little kitchenette. You may/shouldn't cook in the room (probably because of the smoke alarm on the ceiling). However, you had a large fridge at his disposal. Our mattresses were clearly worn out. I may very sensitive, but I had to the hotel towels on the mattress, then I could sleep. The mattress was my wife didn't really bother me. More cause the mold in the joints of the shower. This will come off if no working vent in the bathroom. The room was 5 star wertiges. The cleaners are a issues. Average in 5 minutes cleaning two cleaning staff a room ( so I have for our room on two days at all). Anyway it was so with us. As continues to be one or the other seemed to once. Whether morning toothpaste on the mirror wasn't cleaned away, or a belongings3rd won't be under the table. It's all in the area of the "happens". Several times words in the dust of counter space or the bedside table this comment, I have not in this category. So that no misunderstanding, on the whole, it was clean. But who forward on the packaging 5 star pappt, should at least in the room cleaning no errors in the basics to navigate properly. In our case belonged also two days, in which they forgot us into the bathroom to hang towels again. was not a problem because of, but ...
Tips and recommendations
We were there from the end of may until the 10th June at this hotel. We would not again. It was not really bad, but nothing really very good.
