The Christmas markets are right outside your door literally, up the road, up the side streets and into the square, lovely. There is one supermarket on the outskirts of the town by the coach/car park. Information services from here are available and they speak english and are very helpful. Excursion are probibly available but normally they are coming from outside and visiting Rudensheim, that is how we found this fantastic place in the first instance. On this visit we did our own excursion with our hire car which was to re-visit Buppard the old Christmas shop and Buppard town itself, followed by Koblenz xmas markets and big shopping facilities. Car parking was not expensive at all. There is a ferry that will take you across to the otherside of the Rhine, very fast and efficient at 6 euro for a car and 4 passangers.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. We didn't encounter any problems with language. The rooms were left very clean and towels were changed when required, and there were plenty of them. The staff dealt with any problem, efficiently and quickly, although we hardly had anything to complain about.

The bar was very quiet, but the restaurant got busier every time we looked. The menu look really nice, but we didn't actually try it. This was partly because we wanted to get amongst the Chirstmas spirit outside. The drinks were priced like anywhere else although we had noticed that prices had gone up considerably about 1/3rd on what they were before, which in general wasn't good.

We used the pool once this time, fantastic good facilities showers, toilet, sauner if required. Towels are supplied, and sunbeds.

Fantastic, The size of the room was lovely, we had a balcony with a lovely view, plenty of windows for fresh air. Chairs to sit on with a small table and TV. A minibar was available as was a safe and telephone. I would say it was relatively new, or not long since being done up.

When we visited Rudensheim before we flew to Frankfurt Main airport, the same week 25th November which is usually the first weekend of the Xmas markets it takes about 30-40 minutes to the carpark below the Hotel. This time we flew to Frankfurt Hahn it was cheaper and we thought it would take about 1 hour 30 minutes, but if we hadn't have gone wrong it would have taken about the same as Main abut 30-40 minutes, as it did on the way back to the airport. We landed in snow but the motorways were fine.
