Het Heijderbos, better than expected *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThere was lots of bungalows all over the whole area. We were lucky enough to not too far from the core of the action. But if you loves peace and quiet are to be found there. A bicycle isn't bad though if you have your bungalow on the other end of the grounds. The grounds (paths, and trash cans) will be cleaned in the morning. Now at the beginning of the our summer holidays was the majority of the guests from the NL, but even Danes, British and Belgians there was a few. It was of young people without Annex, families with children to older people all ages.
Location
Just across the German border, not far from the motorway, right in the middle of the dense woods ... So a bit out the next village. Shopping and entertainment possibilities are at the Parc available, but also in the urbanisation Heijen to Gennep. Excursions Everything was possible. We were even to the North Sea (Zandvoort) about 2.5 hours drive. In Nijmegen attract the many stores in the summer also on the Sunday to shop and see the many cafes offer plenty of seats to relax. A traditional cheesemarket should have looked at. Blackout dates on the net.
All speak German, even though I did not expect. Additional services may be extra at the front desk where you decide on site.
Gastronomy
But we didn't large use it. We ate there once pizza. But the prices were much too high for what on the pizza on it. However, the "Burgerbude" reasonable and taste.
Sport & Entertainment
We give a good time here in the reviews. The bathing area was really great. Everything was clean, plenty of staff which careful the nothing happened. And even though a palm in front disappeared weakness in the pool was very quickly. Great. Though they could also during the day from time to time about empty tables with a cloth decline traveled. Entertainment in the evening I was more below. One evening there was a game (only to join in with a reservation). 2 Days later was a live show advertised. But we left after 3 minutes. The figures on the stage probably would have liked more for nightmares with our children.
Room
We had a simple premium bungalow and were (after we had heard and read a lot of negative before) very positively surprised. The size of the bungalows was just right for 4 people, but I found the toilet a bit small and unusual without basin in the room. The kids always wanted to wash your hands without through the neighboring escape from front door. Clean ... Definitely. There was nothing to complain about. Only the mattresses could be replaced (a bit slow worn out). We had the breakfast delivered and have no regrets. The choice was huge and still enough for afternoon tea (there were delicious pastries). For the kids were always a little something for play.
Tips and recommendations
The pool is very busy this weekend due the Tageskartenbesitzer. During the day as there might be rather go on an excursion; -)
