Room moderately saw three star hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe booked for nine days in the last week of September (still high season in Greece) another hotel in the area of nice town georgioupolis because of the long and broad sand beach. From the Airport Chania took a rental car (from/to the airport: Toyota Aygo including comprehensive insurance without percentage excess/Athens cars Crete, and for nine days 168 euro) only half an hour! The hotel Delfina beach resort is located approximately four kilometer from this town, a smaller place, only 500 meters Kavros'. The hotel area seemed quite well-kept, and consists of the main building with guest rooms, as well as some two-story bungalows, whereby the nearest to the beach located optically the best impression! We had at short notice booked half-board and were in the main building above the restaurant as a couple in a three-bed room (double room with half board about 65 euros per day for two people)! So was the room (number 321) accordingly spacious. On the supplementary large, but not covered terrace (no sun or rain shelter), we had both, looked in the garden with swimming pool and on both sides of the bungalows to the sea. Practically next to the balcony furniture made of plastic, a wall-mounted laundry. Mounted at the of the room we were immediately noticed the old system on (like at the Hotel grand Bleu Eretria)! One had constantly the feeling, that the door is not properly closed! When the patio doors there were a system of recent date! The room was functional and with all necessary, but simple furnishings! As closet was an old know, for example, getünchter built-in cupboard. Positive was the small older refrigerator, programmable air conditioning and LCD tv with the few international channels to evaluate. The bathroom was quite small and there was only one area for both sides of the sink. It was in a corner the only trash can. If you don't expect high-gloss, the room cleaning was in order! A sign, please do not stören' was available. But there was no stranger to the inns of the courtyard door lock, asked about the rooms category, stars, price and so on testify! All in all, we are from other four stars hotels used to a much more demanding accommodation. We had the impression that the four stars at best for the restaurant attached. It seemed to us is inviting and comfortable. Only the wooden legs of the heavy chairs with felt or below should be okay, as the sound of, in particular Stühleschiebens' with full restaurant a bit annoyed. Of clean tablecloths were not saved and the silverware and dishes were fine. If you were lucky, you got even a place right next to the large windows (glass doors) with view of the pool and garden. The friendly waiters we had nothing to complain about. The boss of the restaurant must, of course, if everything is under control, but the criticism of the entertainment of the guests are not! We had booked half board and were satisfied with the food variety on the whole! In the morning, there were light and dark bread, as well as small rolls and everything to a rich breakfast and varied, including restaurant is filled Blätterteigpastetchen. The restaurant at the hotel was outstanding, mostly International, once per week, mostly Greek. Courts, according to the folklore evening! The dessert was mostly regular evening was okay. Kind, in addition, there was fruit and ice cream. It is only a few times noticed, the replenishment of buffets something that took too long, although on the special offer for the eye not much time was spent. The pool area we used bar of the two Folklore evenings take place during our stay (couple Detlev a Cretan), since otherwise no evening entertainment in the hotel 's offers and the four' rnäßig were the French entertainment for the mostly French guests (tour operator helliades: similar at the Hotel grand Bleu Eretria) limited to sporting activities, which took place during the day on the beach or in the beach most of the time. In some places it was forbidden to go into the sea. The beach sections were selected. The whistles the lifeguard were in continuous service. On the south side of Crete, with the rental car (Toyota Aygo/Athens cars Crete) from there through in a little more than an hour drive away (at the narrowest point) It was therefore not necessary, since there were no waves! In summary, we had a, with some even highly organized tours, relaxing vacation in a quiet hotel area with clean, but a bit basic room and plenty of good food in the restaurant!
