4 star hotel amenities but 2 star service
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AHotel ambience is good. Breakfast is above average. Bar is very good. Gym is small but sufficient for standard workouts. Nice wellness and breakfast staffs. Polite and professional. Never tried the spa and swimming pool though.
Free wireless internet connections available in rooms and lobby which made this hotel attractive. Also have several deskstop computers for guest use.
Stayed for 2 months but don't know who is in charge of the hotel. You would'nt know who is the manager or supervisor unless you ask. Everyone looks the same and name badges gives no clue.
As its located near the Schiphol Airport, at times may get surge of guests whose flights are cancelled. Lots of groups passing in the weekends.
Location
Not much in surroundings. Located close to KLM engineering compound. Near to Amsterdamse Bos. Bus stop in front of hotel quite efficient and provides transport to nearby town Amstelveen.
Pretty front line staffs but not service oriented. The maximum service that they will give you is a nice smile and greeting. Other than that, very poor and sometimes rude response. Had a UPS document sent to the hotel, had to wait 45 minutes at front desk with some moments of being totally ignored!!
Staff C., rude and behaves like owner of Dorint!!
Stay was paid by company, if was'nt, would'nt have chosen dorint. Staff of Dorint should learn from neighbouring hotels such as Novotel in Badhoeverdorp.

Wellness amenities is good. Small gym but sufficient for standard workouts. Clean and good ambience. Nice and professional staffs.
Room
Stayed in the Standard rooms for total of 2 months. Size and outlook of room is good. Standard TV channels are useless for long stays. Prepare to get some DVDs or you willing to pay 12.50EURO for the paytoview movies.
Nice size for 2 persons. Housekeeping tends to cut short cleaning. Noticed housekeeping never vacuumed the carpet on my room though did show signs of requiring vacuuming!! Didn't want to make a fuss. Just could'nt bother anymore.
