First ever business trip
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe staff were very, friendly, and did their utmost to help. The hotel was first-rate. Very clean throughout.
Due to trip arrangements, I was limited in seeing all the facilities.
Location
The shopping area was about 20-30 min walk. Got a bit lost on the way is I didn't initally understand the streets. Even a local cyclist stopped to offer assistance. Very friendly people.
Beautiful city, i got lost, but had sights to look at, even using them as landmarks to find my way back.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke English very well and clearly (I kept forgetting "Hallo" and "Hello" sound similar, particularly the way I say it, which caused some confusion).
Gastronomy
The only thing missing, for me, was Pineapple juice, probably not in season. Apart from that, the food was plenty, varied and of good quality. Loved it!
The bar is modern, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. I didn't want to leave.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
The integrated entertainment was excellent, and the "low-speed" internet (free) was more than adequate (I did not need to purchase time for the high speed connection).
The room was comfortable and cleaned every day, although I didn't understand the one-sheet and dooner (quilt) arrangement for the bed.
The bathroom was excellent, although placing the removable shower head properly proved difficult. Double-sink and lighted vanity mirror were a very nice inclusion.
Bar fridge only had five bottles (beer, still water, carbonated water, 2 x soft drink) and had a note: "due to hygiene reasons, not for personal storage", which was a shame as the weather was hot.
Tips and recommendations
Rang London for a while (think it was 20 minutes or so) and cost me 19.50 Euro. Thought it was going to be cheaper, but I didn't realise how long the call was. A shorter call cost 3.00 Euro, and I found out the calls are costed in units, each at 0.50 Euro.
Give yourself plenty of time to walk around and have a look at the sights. Get yourself a guide map too. Remember to stay out of the cycle paths. Other guests caught the train to get around very effectively too.
The weather was unseasonally warm (late September), making my trip more enjoyable.
