gladly again anytime Isla Margarita, but... *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe dunes was a hotel in which one no second time would. Stayed here for the third time on Isla Margarita in Playa El aqua from there we were really amazed. Of the 14 days the food was three days, on the other days not fresh, only warmed up and lukewarm. The pasta was ideal for people without teeth because you have to chew them. The room cleaning worked anyway not really and you have also very animal friendly his, because we had a scorpion on cockroaches and ants all bugs in the room, clothes closet and bed. There were almost exclusively locals or Argentinian in the dunes. They were treated very friendly, which we didn't occur, there was no greeting and answered at the front desk they were even served first and we had to wait. Security was capitalized in dunes not very big, we were not on the beach but also constantly in the hotel area, by the pool, the quality of the pool or on the way to and from the rooms unkempt tour vendors bothering you, everyone and makes the very best. This is in a vacation happens, that some people in the hotel area were allowed. We felt very unsafe, because our lock on our door did not work properly. It was already very suspect, in the dunes a complaint speaks at the front desk nobody German or English but the tours are the German, Dutch and Austrian. Our travel guide in the 14 days changed three times, and each time was a major bummer, luckily we had no major problems except lock, air conditioning. Otherwise you is quite alone without contact. The only thing I said, we got, was that there was no illegal taxis should, these are cheaper but if you really want to arrive at the place is questionable, because the official taxis are registered in a central. At the front desk there are taxi price. We did so and had very nice and serious driver. Our island-investigations we have done this time with Jürgen of robe-tours and tours with Jürgen great if on land or water. George was our vacation-save for the quality of his tours super great! No comparison with the jeep safaris or island tours in past holidays we had made. We had contacted him from home. If we go on the island, only in a hotel at the Playa El aqua, because everything is not so remote and from there you can go everywhere very cheap with the bus. Also the area was not so remote.
