ETAP, Bruges - cheap + central designer hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe ETAP Hotel in Bruges is located directly at the train station and you could park for €2.50 per 24 hours. To get to the hotel you have to take the lift. The rooms are small but super clean and with a very modern decor. For example, there is a concealed strip light, which leads along the front wall and the room lighting is adjustable from the bed. The bed is big enough for two people rather 1.50 m wide than 1.40 and comfortable. There are reading lamps on the bed and to the left and on the right is a small storage space. A flat-screen TV is there. The sink is integrated in the room with a lighted mirror. At the back of the room there is a small corner with counter mirror and seating area. There is also a power point nearby (for hair dryer or razor). The shower is twice as large as usual with lit shower head and integrated into the room. The toilet is in a separate room with a door. There is no wardrobe but only a suspension device with six hangers. The rooms are with laminate floors and super clean and very quiet. We neither heard the train station nor the next room. There is even an air conditioning. The rooms are opened with a code. One really does not need more for 1 or 2 nights and for the price of €59.00 for two people without breakfast. The cost per person was €7.00 for breakfast but we had breakfast at the train station. The breakfast room in the hotel is quite small and crowded.
From the train station you can take any bus for just €1.20 per person no matter where, but into the city centre. Two to three stops and maybe a seven-minute drive away. Parking in the old town is not possible anyway.
The hotel was only opened this year.
