An exceptional hotel in the water *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AOur stay at the Eemshotel was a surprise in every respect. First, because it is a personal surprise and secondly, because it was superb. When we arrived at the hotel, was I look at confused and couldn't imagine that I shouldn't be spending a weekend. The hotel was (and is still) over 10 concrete pillars and looked more like a small drilling rig. At the front desk we were greeted very friendly and were given a corner room on the first floor. Door that are pure, short panoramic view - everything ok, sliding glass and "wow". The view we loved it immediately. In the water, long view and absolute peace and quiet. A balcony wasn't, but a Art narrow complete with pergola, to sit out or with a chair. If you're looking for quiet and want to relax, this is the place to be. The rooms were clean, tidy and big enough for a short stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. A perfectly adequate buffet breakfast, the coffee could do-it-yourself as well as eggs in different variations. The views in the restaurant, the sea and the peaceful atmosphere. The food tasted excellent - the fish is highly recommended. The candle light-diner was prepared for an extra table and consisted of soup, entree, and dessert (heaven). If you don't like fish, one could eat. In the small town Delfzijl there is the rare. shops as Blokker, Actionmarkt, Aldi, Lidl, bakeries with huge, selection of fast food places etc. right in the village there is a beautiful windmill. past to de promise at Partycentrum. There is nightly entertainment. Definitely recommend to a drive away from Groningen. From Delfzijl from 30 km away. An absolutely beautiful and interesting city. If you fancy shopping is the place to be. A shop after the other and in each want to you in. D. H. plenty of time. Delicious food there was possible, especially freshly cooked fish, for the market. Many cafes invite you to take a break. You can also: with the catamaran from the harbor in Delfzijl to Borkum. Unfortunately, we didn't do because the weather was poor. For more than a weekend I would not book the Eemshotel, but not because it wasn't nice, but because it can be very monotonous. The gym consists of three exercise bikes, and a ab trainers. A sauna and a solarium are also available. The roof terrace was inviting for suns a - but not more.
