nice Camp with occasional Elephants-visit *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe small tent camp is located in Tsavo East right on the galana-river. Unfortunately the park-part is very, very dry, since it was there for more than a year has not rained. Therefore, the head of the country on I zebras, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks. In the water which then crocodiles and transportation. If you wanted to see more, you have to to the Aruba-dam drive. The tents are rather simple, the beds are comfortable (in my tent there were four beds, all without mosquito net) and the bricked bathroom was very large (two sinks, large mirror, shower, toilet, a opened closet) and clean. Unfortunately, the air in the tents (even though we had everything 'window' on did), it was very warm and the heat was difficult to get to sleep at night. A bit further down the river, the temperatures were very pleasant, since there was always a fresh wind. A few hammocks strung between the palm trees wouldn't be bad... Swimming pool does not exist, the need not to safari I personally. The food was excellent. For lunch there were noodles, a type of stew (no idea, what it was, but it tasted great) and rice. Furthermore, salad and a dessert. In the evening gave it to a plate with mini pizzas (there is a pizza oven!) and then a 3-course menu in a nicely set table. Hmm... Delicious! The staff were nice, friendly, very accommodating, it is nothing to complain about. The only drawback in my opinion: after lunch the staff was gone and then perhaps some time if you wanted to have something to drink, you had just bad luck... The food was (unfortunately only one day) one of the two camp-elephants. Was a great experience, this huge animal so closely looking at. * wow * conclusion: it was on the whole a good experience and I would recommend this camp again.
