Cheap break but would never return
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFood- caters mainly for eastern europeans, very bland, basic and poor quality. meat is undercooked apart from in the al a carte restauarants which you can visit once per week, food in there is great!
choose meal times wisely as it is not uncommon for you to not get a table
Drink- alcohol was only suitable for those who really enjoy strong liquors, they all tasted of paint stripper! beer was drinkable but not great. pepsi/fanta/7up available which were all pleasant. water in decanters was warm unless filled with ice (made from tap water) and juices were simply in powder form mixed with tap water... two small bottles of water per room for 24 hours is simply not enough
entertainment- practically unexistant. evening shows were very amateur and sometimes embarassingly poor. animation team tried hard to entertain but their resources were lacking. limited daytime activities- sunbathing in 50 degree heat becomes unbearable after a short time
guests- lots of rude guests (mostly russian) who seem to misunderstand the purpose of a que-staff are too scared to discipline them in any way so they always come first
staff-on the whole very friendly and they really make an effort to please..they especially love the english!
excursions- we only tried the Colona snorkelling as others were too expensive, booked through Thomas Cook. was a fantastic day out.. great value for money and we actually ate a decent meal on the boat!
not all inclusive- icecreams, pizzas, irish coffee, turkish coffee, fresh juices, BBQ's were all against surcharges (and not cheap)
location- location is poor, nothing is around the hotel and taxis to the main town can be expensive
other foreign guests thought it was acceptable to steal your sunbed while you were going for a walk/swim etc, leaving your towel thrown on the floor
overall we had a great time, met some lovely people and came back with a nice tan but the hotel certainly isnt 4* by british standards.
