We had a great holiday
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A Athe hotel was great, clean, had great facilities, the staff were very friendly. we were three girls in one room, the room was ample size for all the girlie products, clothes, shoes and make up we could possible cram into our suitecases, me and my sister shared a large King Size bed, and to be fair probably all three of us could have shared and still had room, they added an extra bed for our friend, so there was plenty of space in the bedroom, as we still found that we had enough room for all our belongings, and were not all ontop of each other all the time,
the staff were very friendly, in both the restaurants an the bars, and were very quick to help us find tables to sit at, and the chefs in the restaurants were very accomodating, and even changed the menu one night because our friend mentiond that she would like to have a Chicken Curry. they also cooked my meal from fresh in the A la Carte because I was vegetarian, and they had made the option on the menu for me, this was not a problem, and within minutes the chef had whipped up a delicious Vege Stirfry for me. Perfect!
the only let down on this hotel is that there are lot of Polish and Russian people, who do not wish to interact with either the staff, and the guests, at times this made us feel a little uncomfortable, as they were not really friendly to the staff, and barked orders at them. for us, as we were friendly to the staff, they were always happy to see us, help us get drinks.
Location
Location of the hotel, well if you were wanting to stay in the resort then this was perfect, there are pools, and a beach, not much else is needed, it only took about 25 minutes or so from the airport, so fine for the transfer. there is not much to do surrounding the hotel itself at this time, I beleive from what I saw there are quite a lot of building work going on around the hotel, although this did not disturb our stay, you cant really go out for a walk local to the hotel, yu would have to catch a cab to Hurgharda, which we were able to do for 30 Egyptian pounds, so it doesnt cost too much, but you have to haggle them for the price.
service wa brilliant, couldnt have asked for anything better. As you can imagine, 3 english girls on holiday caused a little stir, but it was all in good nature, and the staff were brilliant. they mostely all spoke English, or at least enough to get a small conversation going,
rooms were cleaned daily, and often our towels and clothes were made into little shapes on our beds, In fact the cleaner told me off one day for not putting my Ipod in the safe!
Gastronomy
food was good, relatively good choice of food each day, I'm not a big meat eater, but i never struggled to find food that i would like, lucky for me, i love noodles, pasta and rice, as this is mostly what you will find., however, there was also a large selection of meat dishes to choose from too.
Sport & Entertainment
the animation team were great, and this year I got involved in most of the activities, yoga on the beach, latin and Belly dancing on the beach, and Aqua aerobics, which was really good fun.
Most of the day you will find that people come round to try and sell you their services, Scuba diving, camel rides, massage in the hotel, but if you just say No then they go away,
we did indulge in their spa evening, and an additional massage I have to say for the approx 75 pounds we paid for , use of the sauna, steam, body scrub, full body mud mask, shower, jacuzzi, full body massage, then a second session a couple of days later, steam, jacuzzi, full body massage, as a fully wualified Massage Therapist, I have to say that this was possibly the best massage I have ever received, simply AMAZING... and all that for 75 pounds, a great price....! perfet for indulging and relaxation.,
Room
room was great and perfectly sized, water replaced in bottles daily in the mini fridge.
