Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFrom your hotel balcony you can easily throw a pebble into the lake or just take in the mountain panorama and the lush trees and plants on the lake-side patio below. It's a spotless, new, quite modern but cozy place. If you fly into or out of Zurich (1.5 hours drive), this is your must stay place for at least 2 to 5 days. With our family it's a tradition! We fell in love with the Frohburg (and Verena and Jurg) years ago! Your day will start with breakfast in the bright sun room or outside on the pario. The expansive breakfast buffet is as delicious as it is beautiful! And Verena and Jurg graciously tend to every table as they seamlessly converse in French, then English, then German, then ...! And if you wish, your day can end with dinner at the hotel or at other fine restaurants (ask Verena and Jurg - they're very honest and know the area restaurants). The Frohburg has free Internet access for its guests.
Location
The Frohburg in Weggis can be your romantic get-away or your hiking destination hotel. You can do the Riggi and oodles of other places (ask Verena, she'll let you in on some paths less traveled - but the views of the lake are outstanding!). Take the boat across the lake and explore! And then you can come back to the Frohburg and sip some wine under a palm tree. Yesssssss.
We go to the Frohburg because EVERYTHING and EVERYONE there makes us comfortable and happy. Sure we've stayed at the Vitznauerhoff, but we like the Frohburg more.

Weggis is a neat town. It's not Zurich -- thank goodness! And the Frohburg isn't a Hilton Hotel -- thank goodness! Sports and leisure surround you. Go jump in the lake (just be careful of the swans). Go climb a mountain. Take a ride or boat ride to Lucern for a show or the ballet. It's all happening in an hour's radius.
Room
We love whatever room we get on the third floor. It always looks as if it were freshly painted for us! The lighting is tres neat. And the bathrooms are very modern.
