The hotel is ideally situated, being just 3 minutes walking distance from the bus & boat stations with direct services to Luzern, Brunnen, Kusnacht etc. There is also a cable car connection to Rigi within 15 minutes walking distance. There is ample free car parking immediately adjacent to the hotel.
There are numerous excellent restaurants within easy walking distance and even more choice within a 10/15 minute bus or boat trip. Total travelling time from Zurich airport to the hotel via train to Luzern and then steamer to Weggis is a pleasant and extremely easy 2 hours.

This is a family owned and managed hotel. Both Frau & Herr Gunther provide the most caring, helpful, considerate, cheerful and efficient service and both speak fluent English, French, German, Swiss and Italian. They both constantly watch out for each guest's personal requirements and are the most wonderful and charming hosts.

The hotel has a small and delightful restaurant enhanced by an outdoor lakeside dining area. The breakfast buffet, served from 07.30 - 11.00, is excellent and comprises a variety of freshly baked breads, fruit, cereals,eggs, cheeses and meats together with the most delicious home made preserves, yoghourts, muesli etc. The light and varied evening meal - including a BBQ on one evening weather permitting - is freshly prepared and delicious and is served between 18.30 and 19.30.

The hotel has immediate and easy access to the lake for swimming from the lovely terrace and many other excellent sports and wellness facilities are available nearby in Weggis.

Our room was excellent having, as all the others, wonderful panoramic views of the lake and mountains. The rooms have recently been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard. They all have balconies, a TV, telephone and safe. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the rooms very quiet & peaceful. Housekeeping is excellent and meticulous - home from home!

The local tourist information office at Weggis Boat/Bus station provides an excellent service and is extremely helpful regarding travel, entertainments and eating venues. It publishes a very informative and comprehensive weekly bulletin sheet of "what's on in Weggis" including organised & guided trips within the area and the venues for free entertainment by various local bands and orchestras etc. Mobile phone access is good within the whole area and at all altitudes. Public transport is fairly expensive but, given that it is so unbelievably better, cleaner and more reliable than anything in the UK, is good value. However, the Telpass is definitely worth consideration.
