A friendly hotel in the heart of the mountains
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AA comfortable, budget hotel right in the heart of the Braies. A friendly welcome, good sized, clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel is in good condition and improving all the time. Plenty of parking spaces and easy transport links if you don't bring a car.
When we stayed we had breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal at a very good price. Guests are of all ages nationalities, the bar is mainly populated by locals and seems very poipular.
Location
Right in the heart of the mountains with walks in every direction, an ideal place for both winter and summer holidays. 2 hours drive from Innsbruck airport and around 3 hours from Venice. The nearest train station is around 5km away, the hotel would arrange a pick up I'm sure.
Ideal for summer/winter excursions: Visiting Pragster Wildsee is a must. Good public transport links (Steiner Bus).
The owners are very nice people who will do their best to make you welcome.
Staff speak German, Italian, English.
Rooms are very clean.
Anything you need, I feel sure the owners will try to arrange.
Gastronomy
Good local bar with good beer, spirits and wines. Good wholesome meals ideal for hikers, mountainbikers or skiers. Prices very reasonable

A very comfortable room far nicer than I expected for a hotel in this price range.
Tips and recommendations
Mobile phones don't work here, telephone calls not expensive. Hotel is very good value for money.
The Hotel Bruckele is very nice in the summer when the valley hotels are crowded and hot. However staying at anytime of the year would be nice. Being in the mountains weather isn't reliable. You are in the heart of the mountains however, in a beautiful valley and have so many things to do on your doorstep.
