Austrias best kept secret
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe met Ros and John at the Bike Show and were impressed with their friendliness and knowledge of the local area. We were not dissappointed - we received a very warm welcome (and a cold beer!) - lots of great advice about the best biking roads - sat nav routes (which they even downloaded onto our GPS while we had breakfast!).
Our room was spotless, comfortable and had great views.
Breakfast was the usual continental style buffet, which was good quality.
Evening meals were excellent in quality, choice and value.
The staff were all very friendly and took great care of us.
They provided comfortable guest areas with computer, wi-fi, tv, books, games, etc. There was a secure underground garage for bikes with workshop facilities and consumables that you could purchase if required, as well as local knowledge of dealers and repairers. Even the routes they have planned list repair centres.
It is a very relaxed informal atmosphere, which we loved & we met lots of interesting people including locals and other bikers. It was like holidaying with old friends.
This hotel is not just for bikers however - anyone wanting to explore the area by car, hiking, cycling, etc. would find it a great base for their activities.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be returning again.
