Very unhappy

Only upside to this establishment was that there was free Wii Fii in the Loby!
Terrible value for money
We couldnt even pay for drinks as we went along in the bar as they had to go on the room tab and we had no way of tracking this as we couldn't even sign for it as we went along!
Hotelier's comment
It's a new experience for us to have a negative review.Some of the comments are subjective and should be taken in context. Some are inaccurate or misleading. For example the "complaint" that there are no TVs in the bedrooms. We have never claimed to have TVs in the rooms and reasons for this and the lack of tea/coffee making equipment was explained at lenght to the group leader on his previous 2 night stay.
As regards value for money our rate of 45 Euros per person per night includes tourist taxes and a National Park card (offering huge savings over their stay.) We, of course, have to pay for these cards. This group were given also a discount in the form of two free places (taken by group leaders)
Some, but by no means all, of this group thought acceptable behaviour included ignoring signs marked "privat"!, taking clean linen from the store cupboard, without asking, and using same to clean bikes, that they did not need to use ashtrays when smoking outside, that getting so drunk that they fell over and broke glasses was somehow OK. Also one member of the group made very inappropriate comments when alone with a female member of staff. The entire group of 22 returned well after the published kitchen closure time. Not a single person had attempted to contact us to say the group would be late, nobody offered an apology for being so late and were suprised when we were only able to offer one choice of meal at such a late hour. Food prepared earlier was wasted and our staff worked late and went without their own evening meal in consequence. Other bikers staying at the same time expressed their suprise that they did not ring to say they might be late saying that it was the normal thing to do when you have booked for an evening meal.
Our hard working Austrian staff were hurt that they were treated as if they did not exist by some members of the group.
The comment about not being able to pay for drinks in inaccurate, several people did, but one lady objected to us keeping a record of such transactions and all but accused us of trying to cheat her!
Any towels left on the floor were changed,those left hanging were not, this is standard policy in most hotels and is explained in a notice in the bathrooms.
For the first time in 3 years here we felt moved to lock some of our personal property This is not a situation we want to repeat and sadly, although it is just a few of the group that behaved in this fashion, we were relieved to see then go.
We will try to keep in mind the broard picture, in three years here we have been blessed with wonderful guests and have made many new friends from all over the world. We would like to thank those who have offered words of support.
