Grand Hotel Bernardin

Right on the beach, only a few minutes to Piran or also Portoroz City, quiet residential area. Piran is with its small fish restaurants, right on the beach was idyllic located a worthy destination.

Very friendly staff at the reception, the bar, the room service, at the breakfast buffet - fact generally - and it all worked fine

The Grand restaurant only once we have visited the breakfast buffet. The buffet was set out appealingly, the food and drinks were standard of a 5 star hotel. Sunday you could maybe a more thought: Maybe a little salmon and a glass of Prosecco - doesn't have to be champagne. The hotel bar is attractively furnished - also the bartender was very Corporate Headquarters - and an extremely nice, English musician at heart played Kuscheljazz from the finest

Beyond the 50 and not particularly sporty - that is true for us. But we had the impression that young people feel very welcome - the beach was right out the door, clean water, showers were also available, the pool bar was not open yet - here you could be a little more flexible. Kids had obviously having a great time as well. We mostly ate in the great indoor pool on the 9th. Floor with adjoining spa area - really exceptionally well appointed, with views of the sea, comfortable relax - missed we went to the beach.

The rooms are relatively small but very clean, and well equipped and tastefully furnished, air-conditioner available, TV worked, the balcony was great (sea view, sonnenseitig and well insulated), minibar, safe and telephone naturally present. Super large and comfortable beds.

The hotel itself is really recommendable. With the windows open you can but unfortunately not sleep due to the noise an open-air disco (in accordance with information at the front desk, we also complained) on the Croatian side no peace during the guest. you wanted something going on until 5 am, this is for the peace which incorporates guest not acceptable. We are Globetrotter around the world - in all tourist centers of Egypt up to in the Caribbean, from India to Mombasa, peace from at least 1 hours. This noise, the yes the whole bay point of view, this hotel is not acceptable to us and we will visit Portoroz as soon not more, although it from home Tirol only 2 1/2 hours drive away.
