Guest House Avalon

The Guest House is about 10 minute walk to city center. With a car, you're in 2 minutes. So it was very centrally located. In the center of Inverness many pubs and a pedestrian street with shops. There were loads of excursion possibilities: for example. Culloden battlefield, Clava Cairns, various Castles (also Inverness itself has a Castle) ...

The owners Jo and Bradley are super nice. Very warm and friendly. Jo make suggestions for excursions, restaurants etc. ready. They can speak English and "very nice" are easy to understand. We had no complaints at all.

Breakfast is absolutely delicious and served in a separate breakfast room were eaten! Cereal, orange juice, etc. you can get from the buffet, everything else is done by Jo served. nothing left to be desired. They use mostly organic products.

The rooms are not really almost suites. Huge and absolutely the best! Very modern decor in warm colors. The bathroom is also very well kept with a huge modern shower where you even gave space. Flat screen TV, and coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Everything looks very new and is very top clean! Because of the carpet in the room flip-flops not forget. Anyway you will find in the UK but carpet almost anywhere in the hotel rooms.

Price/performance ratio was excellent! Extremely booked well in advance per person per night including breakfast about 40 GBP paid. Absolutely in order. For what you get. Best travel time is May, June ... July and August also, and rain but supposedly more frequently. We had great weather! evening brief rain, otherwise always sunshine!
