Beautiful resort
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe apartments are in a fabulous location and we had a wonderful sea view. The one bedroom apartment was spacious, even for two adults and two teenagers. They were cleaned to a very high standard five times a week. However, the pool areas were often dirty and on several occasions we had to remove other peoples' litter (cans, plastic glasses etc) from the previous day, from around our sunbeds. I am only aware of one occasion when this area was cleaned properly (in two weeks)! Another issue is a shortage of sunbeds and umbrellas. Towards the end of our stay, presumably as the place got busier, the hotel management became quite strict about reserving sunbeds and not using them for hours-which I totally agree with. However, this meant that on our last few days we actually had to be sitting on our sunbeds at 7.30 in the morning!! A simple solution would be to provide more- there is plenty of room. Also, very few umbrellas were available, and quite a few of those were broken.
On the resort itself, there is a good selection of bars and restaurants at the nearby marina and also in the town (about 15-20 minutes walk away). Dorado beach is about 5 minutes walk from the apartments and is beautiful. There are plenty of sunbeds, at any time of day! The sea is crystal clear and there are a few bars close by for 'facilities'.
We would definitely visit Playa Blanca again, and would stay at Pueblo Marinero, but not during high season.
