Surprisingly good *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe area consisted of individual bungalows built on a steep slope. The area was renovated recently and extended, therefore all was still very clean and well-kept. Almost nearly every bungalow had an ocean view.
Breakfast was inclusive for us.
The guests were very young and came from the whole world that was however on Koh Phangan generally so.
Location
The beach was 5 minutes walk away, directly under the hotel was a small supermarket, the life (food, drinks, celebrations) took place at the beach.
At the individual beaches on Koh Phangan (except Haad Rin) not much was found, but that which was there was enough for a few beautiful, relaxed days. Whether it was sufficient for a longer vacation was a matter of taste, it would not have been enough for us .
The staff was friendly and clean, at the reception one spoke English, the room cleaning was very neat.
As in nearly every hotel at this beach, there was a scooter rental, travel agency, laundry.
Gastronomy
The restaurant served as a breakfast area, one could select between between sitting or half laying at meals.
The breakfast was sufficient and not regulated.
The prices were normal and were actually everywhere similar.
The restaurant was kept in the typical Thai style.
Sport & Entertainment
There was a pool (that was clean) with beach chairs, if one didn't go to the beach once. I did not find more than one pool in other hotels on the island either.
The beach was 823 steps long ; o) and counted thereby to the largest on Phangan, everything was very natural without beach chairs, umbrellas, beach salesmen, like Phuket 15 years ago.
Room
The Bungalows were on the average large, clean, all with a balcony and a hammock. Ours was completely new, perhaps that was why a closet was missing. It had an air conditioner, TV, mini bar.
The bathroom was likewise in a very good condition, as said, everything new.
The view was the hammer, on the left with palm tree slopes, below the ocean.
A tip: Try to get a bungalow as high up the slope as possible, there were the new ones. Careful: The slope was really steep, Reinhold Messner would liked it, but one was rewarded with a great view.
Tips and recommendations
The area had a very good price-performance ratio and was absolutely recommendable.
Please place no European standards. Koh Phangan was still a cheap back packer island, whoever came without a backpack and tattoos felt already very old and the accommodation prices still matched this group of tourists. Whoever wanted to relax was exactly right here, but two days before the monthly Fullmoon party lots was happening and one must experience this fun. Afterwards again peace and quiet, however as wide as the beach was before full moon, however afterwards it was very narrow for the first few days.
