Noisy hotel with uncomfortable rooms *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is quite large, rooms, however, are rather small. The decor is a bit dated and "a" on the whole but not unclean. Outside there are on-site parking. The dining room is quite large with outdoor area (style of 1980ziger years). Our room was cleaned, but somehow it seemed a little dingy and musty. Prior to the balcony door without balcony was a patio area with wooden shutters, where in the early morning breakfast was distinctly already. The buffet breakfast was included, but seemed very meager impression. The other guests were rather youth/young adults and also a couple of families with young children. Additionaly there was a large group of motorcyclists at the hotel, which not least to visible aufgemotzten machines in the hotel bar. We paid in still season June for a double room with breakfast 350.00 kuna (HRK; 1 kunas = about 0,13 Euro).
Location
We used the hotel only as a station for the first night after you arrive at the airport Rijeka yes on Krk Island and only about 2.5 km away. We arrived late at night and didn't have to go too far. If you want to visit the Krk Island, there are other were certainly cheaper. The Rijeka city is about 30 km away on the mainland. We have some small bars and ice cream in the vicinity of the hotel, but it wasn't tried. The nearest bus stop is located a good 10-12 minutes brisk walk back uphill in town , omisalj. With luggage is by taxi.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The night porter, assisted us was very friendly and called again later on, because we something to the reception we left. All spoke either German or English. When we arrived in the night was in the basement disco evening. The music was up in our room. The disco was as promised but to point 1:00 finished. We could have another room, which would have been a bit further away.
Gastronomy
The breakfast was ok but still rather poor. There is also a restaurant, but we didn't visit. Everything seemed a little tired.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
The rooms are very small, the furniture seemed old, but pieces of. There was no air conditioning, but telephone and satellite TV. A balcony, but instead one didn't hear the terrace in the morning. The bathroom was ok, but rather dated. The mattresses were worn and springing metal. It was enough for a night, a second we wouldn't have stayed!
Tips and recommendations
In summary the hotel was bearable for one night. It is very close to the airport Rijeka (by taxi about 100 kunas = about 13 Euro, nightly rate on); for a longer stay it is not recommendable. Much reminds me of a hostel.
