Good, quiet hotel with excellent kitchen *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were again to the wheel drive away for the weekend. This time we had a part of the Rhine-Marne and the Rhine-Northern part of Rhone canal to the objective. Since we were only once in Obernai, we have chosen this place and this hotel. The house or in a far more detailed fashion houses, attached to the hotel are within the city walls of Obernai and at the end of the alley. We had a superior room in the main building. From the room one can still see parts of the walls. In front of the window is a small park. The room was adequate for the time-honoured style of the house furnished, the furniture is quite difficult for massive wood but in very good condition. The room is furnished with a double bed with bedside tables, a round table with qualified graphite plate, a closet with built-in mini bar and a tv, a closet and a large built-in wardrobe. Unfortunately a very dark carpet of the already dark room much light adopted. The only real drawback from our point of view the very poor lighting former. If you like to read in bed, then it will sadly be quite strenuous. The bathroom was quite spacious but seemed very dated, almost SPIE massively by the light, small tiles and also otherwise know nothing of the bathroom, that it was somehow a bit aufpeppt. The hotel has a bath, but only outside. The food there are two restaurants. We had booked half board and were thus both evenings in the gourmet restaurant. Service and food were excellent. For France perfectly unusual was the spacious seating area.-this house offers the quality of the kitchen France in a positive sense of being in turmoil, but then rarely finds. For us this hotel was the best in France and we stayed in this country over the years have stayed in many very good hotels and Châteaus klassi posted in different provinces.
