A two star superior hotel offers simple clean rooms *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AYou can a hotel not bad, only, because a few things (service in the restaurant and breakfast) personally didn't fit, therefore I recommend this hotel for a short stay. This applies, if it is only a two star superior Hotel. 40.00 euro per night, we had included breakfast and half board-price so absolutely okay.
The hotel is located right on the entrance road to rouffach, so it is easy to find and within walking distance of the city center convenient. Since the rooms on the side and the road not really is very busy at night, this is nothing in terms of volume. The front of the hotel looks super sweet, it is however only a beautifully painted facade. On the wings you can see, that it is a very simple older building. The lobby is nicely decorated, with a bar and comfortable sofas and armchairs. The front desk was with a young lady occupied, as neutral friendly to describe. Communication was no problem.
I had a normal double room. It was clean, simple but absolutely adequately equipped. It has been renovated in the last time. The shower/bath was small but perfectly okay. The mattress was firm and not worn out. Two star totally okay. From the room you could stay here longer.
We had booked half-board and the dinner in the 'normal' restaurant-there are a better restaurant next door. There wasn't a lot happening, the waiters and waitresses little had to do and were listlessly around. Our waiter let us feel very clearly, that he was not in the mood to us or work (?). This did not, as we 'getting' Alsatian menu also wanted to order (which was punished with a extra charge). The wine list was inspired me, as the selected wines. The food was normal but of good far away. The second night of my friends the food and external went out to eat. You can therefore save half board!
One takes the breakfast in a rustic area made a. You have to get everything yourself and even cook the eggs (they are at least, as you loves them!). It was everything available was enough but I found the room somewhat dingy and therefore I missed the appetite. My friends felt however not so!
The 'wellness area' I could not use, but it should say loud friend from nothing special.
To sum up, I thought it was quite nice in the Hotel, room good, service needs improvement. For 40 euro passable.
