Very nice hotel, but be careful when making a booking! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed in one of the smaller holiday flats which was big enough for 2 people.
In this town there are 4 different "Hotel Abbartello" so beware!:
1. hotel **** (this I can recommend due to the contemporary, new furnishings)
2. hotel (I can't comment on, but it is not new and the rooms are very small, see photo)
3 . the flats (these we had booked, details and pictures are coming up;-)
4.. motel (not new, but I can't rate this one; if tyou do a search for "Hotel Abbartello" with one of the big companies, this is the only one that is shown)
There is also a campground near the holiday flats.

Location
The hotel is situated right on 2 nice little beaches.
At the motel there is a Spar supermarket, that was good for getting rolls in the morning.
For general shopping I would rather recommend the Casino-market in the direction of Propriano. (A 10 - 15 minute drive)
To the ferry in Bastia it took us 3 1/2 hours at normal speed.
The staff were friendly and spoke very good English. Problems were immediately sorted out.
Gastronomy Unused
We were self-caterers.
Sport & Entertainment
There wasn't a pool, which wasn't that bad though as the sea was very close by.
In the "hotel **** " there is a wireless internet access which could be used for free by everyone with their own laptop. I have to tell you that the upload speed was so limited, that you could not send emails, but only receive them. (There is a small trick, with which you can get in touch with your loved ones at home, just ask me)
Room
Our flat (we had #2) is furnished in a contemporary style. In the kitchen there was actually everything you need: Microwave, stove, freezer, dishwasher ...
The bathroom had a bath tub and separate toilet.
The bed was 140 cm wide as is common there.
There was also a TV (French. channels) and a terrace with a bit of garden (with grill), in which you could also park the car in range of vision.

During the first week in the north of Corsica, we had lots of mosquitoes, in the second week at the Abbartello I have not seen a single mosquito. So you need to be lucky and definitely pack some mosquito spray.
I will gladly answer any questions.
(We did many excursions and can only recommend to book one week in the north and one week in the south of Corsica, in order to see as much as possible)
I would also recommend to bring a good guide book for hiking.
