Excellent hotel in a great city! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Affinia is a already n hotel was a bit older, but very, very nice and very clean! It is located directly on the 7th Avenue at 31th Street, right across from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. Overall the hotel has 28 floors and we were on the 26th and the view gigantic!! The audience was, in my opinion, very mixed.
Location
The transfer time from the airport is approximately 1 hour and costs by taxi 45 or 50 dollar. From the hotel, everything was still within walking distance as Empire State Building, Times Square, Macys.. There were also many cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity and Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts etc. We were never in the hotel restaurant food. I would highly the "Fresh & Co. " recommend the right two doors down. It is a delightful spot its individual food order such as salads or pasta. This is the guests eyes freshly prepared in a short time. Breakfast was also very good and all at a fair price.
The staff were really VERY, VERY nice!!! Everyone is very welcoming and make an effort to the the stay is just perfect. Check-in and check-out has also worked fine. Our suite was always cleaned very thoroughly and we had fresh towels every day, and dish towels.

Room
Our suite on the 26th floor is simply a dream! It was equipped with bathroom, living room, bedroom, a small cute kitchen and we had a terrace, the view was gigantic and I can highly recommend!! The kitchen was well equipped with everything as toaster, coffee maker, fridge etc. The beds were very comfortable. In the living room and bedroom was a TV in the living room, even with DVD player. Everything was very very clean!!
Tips and recommendations
As an excursion tips I especially those bus tours (hop-on-hop-off) recommend this is a definate must!!! We enjoyed the 2 -day tour, one "Uptown" and the "downtown" area. You really get to see all attractions and can also get off and reside. Also, do go to "Woodbury outlet" for a day. The place is a shopping paradise: -). As cheap as there is nowhere I think shopping and there are all well-known brands such as Puma, Adidas, Miss Sixty ... One evening we were in the "the view" food. The restaurant belongs to the Marriott hotel right at time Square. You take the elevator up and the restaurant is located on a platform needs within an hour in a circle. The view is gigantic, especially at sunset. Though the food is not cheap, but if you have been this opportunity with such a view to eat really use!
