Wasted vacation! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe planned a 14-day stay, but one day we decided to change hotels because the first 3 days came a bit late. The reason for this was that the room was very noisy due to noise from the street and clairaudience within the hotel itself, so we couldn't sleep. As the bathroom had no lights, it was difficult to say anything about its cleanliness. The cupboard in the room was broken at the back, very dirty and was no place to hang clothes. The beach was a long way away. The free available chairs were disgustingly dirty, broken and abandoned, and were too close together. The beach itself is very dirty and stony. You had to walk along the beach for about 500m to get to a reasonable bathing spot. The town of Ouranoupoli can be reached by taking an unlit highway, along which there is no walkway. There is no way of getting to down in the dark and therefore eating, drinking, shopping or anything else was not possible to do in your free time. Meals and drinks in the A.I. are not enjoyable. The "juice" is more like adulterated syrup. The only enjoyable things were water and coffee. Warm meals were on the most part very fatty and only lukewarm. Fresh fruit was a rarity, mainly for breakfast. We checked out early and had to pay €120 (a so-called empty bed fee), our complaints were not listened to but reacted to by unfriendly guests. Therefore, don't expect goodwill or friendliness from the staff. All in all very disappointing.
