Hotel Albatros PALACE Resort & Spa

The location of the hotel was about 20 minutes from the city center of Hurghada. One needed a taxi to go shopping. The stores and especially the pharmacy at the hotel were much too expensive. We strongly discourage using the hotel pharmacy, another pharmacy was only about 200 meters away and was half the price. Please also definitely check the expiry date of the medicine.
The beach compared to the previous year had improved considerably. A jetty to the coral reef was constructed and snorkeling was now possible.
Many excursions were offered. One should use the offers from tour operator, as the price-performance ratio was good. Recommended was the quad drive through the desert and a boat trip on the island Mahmaya. It was a bit expensive, but it was worth it.

Absolutely best.
Except for the reception staff the friendliness of the staff was unsurpassed. Whether at the meals, at the pool or in the evening, one got the feeling that everyone's wishes were filled.
The foreign languages were limited, the staff tried to adjust to each tourist's language.
The room cleaning was optimal. There were no complaints.
Additional services should be noted that the laundry service was recommendable. Reasonably priced, given in the morning, evenings returned clean. Be careful with a doctor, it could be very expensive.
With complaints, the problem was immediately solved.

There were four theme restaurants, two bars, and a coffee bar. The description of the restaurants and the bars were given at the tour operators.
The quality of the food was excellent. Something for everyone, was not boring. Drinks were available both in local dishes and also in home made style. Be careful with drinks with ice, danger of disease (diarrhea and vomiting).
No complaints about the cleanliness of the restaurants and bars.
The service staff was very friendly and looked forward to every tip. We've learned: brought $50 in 1 - dollar bills. Please no coins as tip, since the staff could not change the coins at the bank.

As we wanted a pure relaxation trip, we couldn't rate the performance of the sports possibilities.
Nevertheless, the activities team worked very hard and constantly kept contact with the tourists. Anika and Pipo were great, we called him "Mensch Markus" he was almost as the comedian Markus from the German TV.
Beach and pool were absolutely clean, the water quality as this I had never experienced.

The size of the room was sufficient, the furnishing was very good. The air conditioner worked perfectly 24 hours, German TV had 5 channels available.
The balcony was large enough for two people, the minibar was daily filled with 2 bottles of water and the room safe was free. The cleanliness was already rated.

Please do not brush the teeth with tap water, drink no drinks with ice nor eat raw salad, digestion problems.
The spa offer critically watch. The price was bargainable, the service time usually was not as the offer.
A cab ride to the subway and buy cigarettes there, much cheaper than in other stores.
Don't change money on the street, fraud danger.
Do not buy cigarettes, watches or other articles on the street as low quality products.
