The Hotel Albrichi is located in the pretty main square of the picturesque alpine village of Poschiavo. The building has retained its historic feel with beautiful period features and furnishings, particularly in the dining rooms. Our bedroom was simple, clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view over the square and surrounding countryside. The fact that there was no en-suite was no problem as there were ample shared shower rooms for the number of guest rooms. The buffet breakfast was substantial and diverse, just what was needed before setting off on a strenuous walk in the mountains. We looked at the other hotels we could have stayed in agreed we had chosen the most atmospheric one in the town. I would certainly recommend it. Tip for drivers: there is a free car park just off the main road on the other side of the river.
