Hotel Aldemar Cretan Village

The hotel is set a bit aside, but right next to the beach and has its own part of the beach (there were people from the hotel who actually sent other guests from different hotels away if they took the places of the hotel´s guests).

The staff was always friendly. Many of them were from abroad, so you could mostly only communicate in English with them, although all of them seemed to know Russian (what is logically, as most of the guests were Russians...). So you don´t have to be surprised if you are greeted in Russian rather than in Greek.

There is one main buffet restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner - always in the form of an international buffet. In the time between, there are several so called bars that offer cake, pizza and ice cream. If you want to eat in one of the a la carte restaurants, you need to make a reservation the day or so before - always depends on how many guests want to eat there. The food was average, but everyone can find something that would please them.

The animation´s team was always visible and present. It was hard to miss any of the sport´s events, which were always a lot of fun.

We booked a 3 bed room. The first room we were shown was too small - without the third bed yet, so we asked if we could have a bigger room. We were immediately given a bigger room with a small balcony, but a nice bathroom.
